Exfoliation is key to preventing ingrown hairs and to get the smoothest wax results.
Should you use a sugar scrub after a Brazilian wax?
Sure! Wait a couple of days, then you can use a sugar scrub every other day to help prevent ingrown hairs. If you are prone to ingrown hair, use a scrub mitt or brush with body wash instead.
This often works better if you have a chronic ingrown hair problem. Some people are just more prone to them than others. If you have a chronic problem, you might need to purchase a serum and use that as well as exfoliate every other day.
You can use a commercially made sugar scrub or you can make your own.
The commercial ones that I suggest are:
Homemade sugar scrubs are easy to make.
1/4 cup granulated sugar. Add more if you would like a coarser scrub.
1/2 cup coconut oil
5-10 drops of your favourite essential oil (optional)
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
Store your scrub in an airtight container in a cool dark place.
