Using Dr. Numb for Wax Clients
Dr. Numb® is an OTC (Over-the-Counter) Topical Anesthetic Cream (commonly known as numbing cream) that contains 5% lidocaine. It produces temporary numbness or loss of sensation of the skin and its surrounding tissues after its application. It is primarily used for relief of pain associated with skin conditions and dermal procedures.
What makes it work?
Dr. Numb® has a precise formulation of lidocaine synergistically blended with excipients that emphasizes purity, strength and composition. The potency is employed through an advanced delivery system that guarantees improved bioavailability resulting to sufficient duration of action.
How should it be administered?
- Wash the area with soap and water.
- Make sure the skin is clean and dry. Apply the cream and gently massage it into the skin evenly.
- Leave it on with an occlusive dressing. It should start to take effect within 10-15 minutes and fully numb the skin within 30-60 minutes after it is applied.
- Wipe the excess cream. Perform additional skin preparation as necessary

When should you not use Dr. Numb® cream?
Do not use Dr. Numb® if:
allergic to lidocaine, any other “-caine” type anesthetics or any of the non-medicinal ingredients in the product.
Warning
FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. Avoid contact with eyes. If this happens, rinse thoroughly with water. If conditions worsens or if symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again in within few days, discontinue use and consult a physician. Do not use in large quantities, particularly over raw surfaces or blistered areas.
